Sasha R. Jones is an independent artist living in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He works primarily in oil, with his paintings exploring the themes and intersections of fantasy, nature, and queerness. He is particularly interested in doing work which speaks to the sense of awe found in the natural world and in ourselves, and to making tangible our sense of the ethereal.
His spare time is concerned primarily with the cultivation and care of plants in the ground, with increasing his familiarity of the fellow beings that make up the environment around him, connecting with local found family, and with studying how we can pursue decolonization.
Sasha graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2013 with a BFA in illustration.
