For close to a decade, I have been developing and giving talks at the conventions I attend, focusing on relevant and important topics but always delivered with a balance of levity, vulnerability, and humor. These are nearly always created and delivered in collaboration with my partner or sometimes other friends. Here are links to our talks from more recent years, if you would like to see them for yourself! Most do not have recorded video available, but all have the slideshow with full scripts in the “speaker notes” at the bottom of the slide.

Please note that you may need to turn on the visibility of speaker notes, and/or expand the amount of text visible by dragging the boundary edge for the notes upwards. The notes are much more easily viewed and read on a computer than on mobile.

HOW TO ORGANIZE IN THE FURRY FANDOM

An “Organizing 101” primer angled towards the furry fandom, this talk covers what we have learned in the past 6+ years of research and personal experience in working to understand how to build positive political change and what is actually needed to fight climate change, fascism, and end capitalism.

building real community IN THE FURRY FANDOM

A precursor and companion to our organizing talk, this talk focuses on the building of personal and community relationships necessary for building a future together. We cover communication, conflict resolution, and the development of mutual aid and intentional living situations towards a more collectivist world where we care for one another.
